04 / ACCESSIBILITY
CREATIVE WORK.
OPEN TO EVERYONE.
A site with personality should still be a site you can use. We keep working toward that.
Keyboard navigation, clear controls and reduced-motion support are part of the design. If something gets in your way, tell us where it happened so we can work on it.
Our approach
We want the Jötnar Media website to be useful to people with different abilities, devices and ways of browsing. Accessibility is an ongoing part of how we design and improve it.
We keep improving the experience as content, devices and feedback change. The features below explain how to navigate the site and let us know about a barrier.
A quieter way to browse
The website responds to your device’s reduced-motion preference. On these pages, Pause motion stops decorative movement without hiding the information or changing the links.
The homepage includes a control for its background film. The introductory sequence can be skipped. Scrolling and access to the work remain available without the introduction.
The playful zero on the 404 page has button controls as an alternative to dragging it. The way home is always a normal link.
Films and outside players
Background and preview films are decorative and muted. Featured films use native video controls or Vimeo’s controls when you choose to allow its player.
Captions and other accessibility features depend on what is available for an individual film and its player. If you need information from a film in another format, please tell us which film and what would help.
Third-party services are outside our direct control. You can decline optional embeds and use the direct link offered for a Vimeo film instead.
Tell us what gets in the way
If you encounter a barrier, use the contact form or email info@jotnarmedia.com and include the page or feature, what you were trying to do and, if helpful, the browser or assistive technology you were using.
Share only the details needed to describe the problem. We will use the information to understand the issue and consider a practical improvement or another way to help you access it.
